REQUIREMENTS
Must have Property and Casualty insurance experience.
Minimum 5 years experience handling complex general liability claims.
With little to no supervision, examines claims data and conducts
investigation on high exposure cases to develop facts for
determination of coverage, liability, compensability, subrogation,
etc. Adjusts and manages claims within the limit of assigned
authority. Receives general liability, product, premises and
commercial automobile claims assignments. Verifies and determines
applicability of coverage. Determines the method of extent of
investigation for each claim as required by company claims handling
manual and procedures. Conducts field investigation where necessary.
Reviews and manages outstanding files, as assigned, for adequacy and
timeless of investigation, evaluation and reserve and maintains a
timely diary for each case. Evaluates and adjusts claims with the
highest dollar exposure within the limits of authority. Also
evaluates and manages litigated claims, determines future course of
handling and proper method of disposition. Consults with the claim
supervisor on those claims in which assistance and consultation is
needed as well as on those claims that exceed assigned authority.
