Position: Data AnalystJob Description:
Commercial Business Group, a division of the Citigroup Global Consumer Group, is the largest financial institution providing leasing and other commercial financing products. This position is with the Data Management team to support development of the common data repository. Job requires gathering and documenting the technical and business Metadata about the data as well as providing insight into the data itself.

Primary Job Function:

o Work with business teams and user groups to identify, analyze, and document business intelligence opportunities and develop functional requirements.o Understand business needs in order to evaluate needs and suggest reporting solutions
o Works jointly with the data management team members to understand data domains, and other dimensions of data needed to support BI solutions.
o Develop and manage detailed work plans and projects, as necessary, as a team member, perform assigned tasks, assess project progress and provide issue reporting to management.
o Review and ensure the quality of the artifacts produced by the BI development team members.
o Coordinate metadata management activities with data management team.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills:o 7+ years experience in business analysis, requirements definition, user liaison roles
o Strong analytical skills with passion for problem solving and research
o Financial industry experience.
o Experience with profitability models/applications
o Knowledge in multi-dimensional model design (MOLAP & ROLAP).o Experience with Cognos ReportNet/Powerplay (as a user)
o Basic understanding of SQL
o Outstanding written, verbal communications and interpersonal skills
o Hyperion Essbase - a plus
o Leadership/mentoring experience preferred
o Bachelor's degree in computer science or business administration/finance
