Openings: 1Job Description:GENERAL SUMMARYIndividual develops and leads the business information and analysis center of expertise. Serves as the single source of data analysis and information within the Beer division. Oversees the management and analysis of syndicated data, sales analysis, market research, consumer research and takes a lead role in the development of supplier presentations. Serves as a project manager for the sales and field sales teams in support of Strategic Plan initiatives. Supports special projects as needed.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Manage the Syndicated Data Sources, including: IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, Ad View, Consumer data, market research and industry data such as The Beer Institute and Impact. Manage the contractual relationship with third party data suppliers. Manage internal data sources: RSS and SMART. Coordinate data sources within Constellation. Partner with NAIT to bring data analysis vision to light. Identify a process or system to leverage data sources. Consolidate data into Constellation’s data warehouse. Analyze data to identify patterns and improve decision making and identify new sources of data.2. Function as the analytical center of expertise. Provide routine information via standard reports and provide information requested via ad hoc reports. Proactively provide information and opportunities as patterns/themes are identified in the data. Uncover emerging trends at the industry level and provide insights to the management team on the developments. Integrate information from several sources into “insights” about the market place. Incorporate data analysis best practices into the organization.3. Develop various presentations for supplier meetings, wholesaler meetings, field sales meetings and management meetings. Provide selling stories for brands by blending information and insights from multiple data sources. Blend in market research data to enhance the views of the industry and the consumer. Have the ability to actively and comfortably participate in customer calls.4. Develop and implement score cards to be used by management and suppliers to evaluate the sales results of the organization. Develops scorecards to benchmark progress against the stated brand objectives; communicate results to all associated parties. Scorecards must integrate a blend of multiple data sources into simple, concise scorecards (shipments, billings, depletions, forecasts).5. Serve as a conduit between the Sales and Marketing teams with common information linking the two departments. Link additional internal departments with information: Finance, Administration, Supply Chain and National Accounts.6. Coordinates and communicates all sales information needed for new product introductions or business development opportunities in partnership with the Business Development team, assists in establishing sales objectives and strategies.7. Develop ROI reporting functions to evaluate programming.8. Evaluate potential new suppliers to gain an understanding of their portfolio and potential upside volume opportunities.9. Provide support analysis for the Divisional Sales Analysts and Chain CDM’s. Provide the data knowledge that would encourage them to reach out to your team when encountering a problem that they can not solve.10. Assists in developing corporate business plans including goals, strategies and objectives and oversees the development of corporate business reviews/plans for Beers’ suppliers in partnership with the Business Development team.11. Oversees the analysis of trimester information from Division Managers to include market profiles, price surveys, sales goals, distribution goals, transfers and logs. Monitors annual/trimester information from wholesalers for field sales personnel usage to include distribution recaps, market profiles, price surveys, sales and distribution goals, transfers and logs.12. Supervises and develops the staff to include planning and assigning work/responsibilities, developing team goals/objectives, and overseeing overall performance.13. Serves as information liaison between Beers Sales and internal departments.14. Completes additional responsibilities and projects as needed and directed.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPReports directly to the Senior Vice President, National Sales.KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED1. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years working within the consumer packaged goods industry, preferably the beverage alcohol industry. Must have 10 years syndicated data management experience. Requires experience in category management, field sales, supplier, distributor or sales management. MBA preferred.2. Must have advanced leadership and management skills with a proven track record of effective delegating and directing to meet and exceed results. Manages and develops the team: Sales/ Marketing Analysis & Reporting Associate Manager and National Sales Analyst.3. Extensive experience with PC-based software to include Excel, Access, Word, and a forecasting or ERP system is required.4. Must be detail-minded, well organized and a self-starter who must be willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right and on a timely basis.5. Must have the ability to handle a heavy workload and be able to work under pressure while handling frequent changes in direction, without losing focus.6. Requires excellent interpersonal skills. Must be a team player and consensus-builder who enjoys being part of a team effort and who has the ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels, internal or external to the company.7. Must have excellent quantitative and analytical skills, such as: margin analysis, budget management analysis, sales data analysis and consumer insight analysis.8. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.9. Must have the ability to apply advanced project management skills along with the ability to make decisions independently utilizing strategic thinking.10. Must be able to handle confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner.
