Business Information Analyst

Meets with the business user community, as directed, to discuss the requirements for the information needed to be extracted from the database, Unix, or mainframe systems. Conduct research projects to refine and anticipate user needs.
Prepare data according to the needs of the end-users, Client, or department including providing downloads of information for the end-user or client for further use in developing medium reports which may require data manipulation and analysis. Maintains all extracted profiles. Modifies profiles as necessary to meet the needs of the end-user or department.
Solve technically medium programming projects in assigned area. Translate user defined business problems into a set of objective, criteria and logical specifications so a programming solution can be developed. Develop tests and writes simple to medium application programs, queries and profiles according to specifications. Modify existing programs as necessary to meet the needs of the business or client. Maintain and shares libraries of efficient and effective programming techniques with analysts across the organization

job Requirements



Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

Minimum of 3 to 5 years computer programming experience as analyst or equivalent in a mortgage service environment

Master’s degree desirable

SAS programming skills and proficiency in one or more computer programming languages preferably COBOL, SQL, Oracle, HTML, Unix, or TSO/ISPF; business rule definition

Ability to actively listen, interview end-users or clients, and apply information from meetings to complete tasks

Mathematical and statistical aptitude

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Develop and support the Operational Service and Default Service areas and MIS reporting

Work on various projects, assist with special project, and documentation as determined by management
