Business Analyst Senior

PURPOSE AND SCOPE With minimal or no supervision, performs a lead role in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a thorough understanding of applicable business system and industry requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

?Develops and manages relationships with IT Relationship Managers, Project Managers and vendors.
?Responsible for the analysis of business end-user needs, requirements documentation and the translation into proper system design specifications.
?Applies the appropriate systems/project life cycle methodology.
?Responsible for the development of user acceptance testing of systems, coordinates execution of test plans, develops and maintains quality procedures, and ensures that appropriate documentation is in place.
?Leads in resolution or coordination of resolution of daily production issues and problems.
?Under no/minimal supervision, revises existing system logic issues as necessary.
?Leads supporting business, technology, and vendor relationships.
?Has a strong understanding of the business through interaction with business units.Job Requirements
Education

?Bachelor’s degree (equivalent work experience) in Business Administration, Computer Science, or closely related field.

?Basic understanding of database concepts and reporting techniques.
?Business Objects Designer experience a plus.
?SQL knowledge a plus.
?Clarity Project and Resource Management tool knowledge a plus.

Experience

?Minimum of five years experience as a Business Analyst or in a business operations role with some project management experience
?Experience with Business Objects Reporting tool.
?Previous experience in delivering results within budget and on time.
?Proficient in the use of a full-system life cycle methodology; exposure to project management methodology.
?An understanding of business issues.
?Familiarity with technology and business use of technology is a necessity in order to provide direction for business processes and product enhancements.
?Basic understanding of database concepts and reporting techniques
?Experience in the financial industry is a plus.


CONDITIONS OF WORK

Overtime and travel as needed (infrequent). On-call responsibilities, including non-business days (infrequent).
