Business Analyst/Quality Assurance LeadJob Summary:
Accountable for requirements gathering and system design with regards to new prospects and existing customer base. Will interface with customers for product demonstrations. Responsible for helping to establish and monitoring adherence to quality standards in the development of our product line. Accountable for direction of the quality assurance team and performance measurement.Essential Job Functions: Attends meetings with new customers upon request of delivery director Participates and leads requirements sessions with assigned customers Writes detailed functional design documents Writes test conditions and scripts Manages client expectations and deliverables Prepares estimates for work based upon requirements analysis Employs Covansys project management standards Ability to read and logical and physical database model diagram Performs project testing planning, status reporting, scheduling and communications Writes SQL to update and manage relevant table data Helps perform build validation Pinpoints source of problem found in testing Develops automated test scripts for testing tools for test plan development Sets up issue tracking tool for appropriate use in the project Helps prepare marketing responses on products for new business opportunitiesQualifications: Ability to facilitate Joint Application Design sessions (JAD or JDC) Proven ability to work in a leadership role with major clients and internal staff An understanding of the technology implications related to strategic business issues Understanding of application software and hardware architecture principles Understanding of the concepts pertinent to data center operations, network, telecommunications and application development and integration Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to develop solutions that are in the best interest of the client Knowledge of software testing principles and practices Strong analytical ability Familiarity with source/document control programs Ability to interact with the development staff to resolve defect issues and for design work Ability to work in a team environment Knowledge of the software development lifecycleTravel:
Some travel – may assist with training client, demo presentations for customers, requirements gathering work with customers.
