Business Analyst IV

Has the responsibility of facilitation, elicitation and documentation of the business requirements by using effective means of interaction which best captures the needs of the business in a manner that will provide for accurate implementation.

Demonstrates a high level of presentational skills applicable to all levels of audience.

Works with the client/user in establishing the contribution that information systems can make to business objectives, defining systems, drawing up requirements specifications, conducting feasibility studies, producing high level and detailed models.

Lead liaison with clients/users to investigate operational requirements and problems, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in information systems, data management, processes/procedures, organization, and equipment.

Partners with the client and IS staff as required, conducting investigations at a high level for business studies, requirements specifications, and feasibility studies and business cases. Maintains technical awareness at a level where alternatives can be analyzed, modeled, and classified according to technical feasibility and performance. Is able to create accurate business cases that contain proper analysis, sound financial details with clearly documented objectives.

Takes responsibility as needed for the detailed specification and modeling of recommended solutions using resources, standards, methods, and tools as required. Maintains links with appropriate counterparts with both application development and service delivery functions and plays a full part in bringing systems to implementation.

Works with cross functional teams to define the scope and business, functional, and system (non-functional) requirements for systems to be implemented.

Defines business cases to justify the development and implementation of automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.

REQUIREMENTS
This position requires 10 plus years in-depth knowledge of and experience in requirements engineering, system development life cycle, product management concepts and enterprise software products. Financial application domain knowledge is a plus. College degree is required; a degree in business, computer science, or information systems preferred. The position also requires five or more years of team lead experience. Five plus years experience and expert knowledge of business analysis techniques (Business Process Modeling), requirements design techniques (UML), object-oriented analysis techniques and modeling tools, and requirements management tools (such as CaliberRM, DOORS, etc.) is required. Demonstrated proficiency and 5 plus years in project planning and control techniques, customer value chain concepts, information capture techniques, business proposals, business process improvement techniques, public presentation skills and a keen business acumen is a must.
