Evaluates the business needs for systems development across brokerage products, documents business requirements, works with business experts and develops team to evaluate alternatives that meet the needs of the business to meet strategic direction.Position is key contact for any strategic projects or new product development efforts. Must be able to identify business needs. Will work with users to improve processes and procedures. Must be able to react quickly to business problems, identify them and find proper systemic solutions. Develop white paper justification to support recommendations and present to various stakeholders. May participate in functional and technical design reviews for validation. Will be responsible for following internal processes and procedures. Must participate in process improvement efforts.
REQUIREMENTS
A substantial Customhouse Brokerage background is required. Effective oral and written communication skills are a must in order to define requirements, provide feedback to team members, explain problems and resolutions, develop presentations, etc. Must be a self-started, multi-tasking individual with strong initiative and self-motivation. Requires excellent organizational and problem solving skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Travel will be required. Four year degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business and Accounting or other related field or equivalent work experience.Previous experience in Business Process Modeling or UML desirable. Previous experience or knowledge of UPS Brokerage Operations and or Accounting is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred. Previous software development experience with respect to defining business needs, requirements, testing and deployment.
