The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a/an Quality Assurance Analyst for our Technology Service Group Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform System analysis of software applications to derive software quality assurance test plans
Determine requirements for test case traceability and test coverage
Identify and advocate QA testing standards and processes
Develop test cases/scripts based on defined business/functional specifications and/or use cases
Execute test cases/scripts and accurately & concisely report both progress and defect status
Work with Developers and Quality Analysts in supporting defect analysis, reproduction, and resolution
Proactively work with project managers, quality analysts and developers during design and development to insure a quality, testable deliverable
Determine requirements for automated testing tools and/or evaluate & select appropriate testing tools
Must have a strong working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements:
Expert knowledge of software development lifecycle and how such a lifecycle pertaines to testing and quality control.
3+ years of prior testing experience as part of a testing team
Hands on experience with testing end-to-end process
Working knowledge of testing disciplines and tasks
Excellent analytical skills, and commitment to continuous testing improvement
Experience with all phases and stages of testing desired(Functional, system, integration,data validation, user acceptance, performance, stress, load)
Knowledge of automated tools is desired but not required.
Knowledge of defect management and reporting techniques.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience; 2+ Years Oracle/SQL. Must have experience with Web applications; Experience with CMM methodologies highly desired; Requires strong organizational, communication and analytical skilss combined with equal amounts of functional and technical knowledge of Web Applications.
