Role & Requirements
• Broad industry knowledge of bioinformaticsapplications, toolsets and datasets
• Capture and document from scientificand regulatory stakeholders, requirements for IS systems
• EnsureTraceability by documenting business processes, creating data flow models andprocess models (in MEGA)
• Translate procedural documents into IS terms todevelop system concept documents• Develop use cases and functionalspecifications
• Coordinate with the PM within the change control process toevaluate importance and impact of business requests
• Evaluate thefunctionality of existing software systems• SME to project team regardingprocess and data flows, conceptual data models, content requirements,integration with the other functional areas (e.g. conversion, interfaces andreporting), processing procedures, application on business objectives,client-specific topics, and alternatives for service delivery
• Look forprocess improvement, dependencies of systems and understand data integrationacross systems from an end-user perspective
• Suggests; training materials,business value of IS, options for fulfilling requirements (suppliers &sources)
• Trains others on best practices, methods and tools
• 2+ yearsrelevant experience in delivering technology based solutions (either as businessanalyst, project manager or software developer)
• BA/BS in scientific fieldrequired, preferably biology (or equivalent experience)
• Experience doingscientific research is a plus
• Experience with requirements management toolsis a plus
• Functional understanding of plant science and biotech processes
