Benefits Counselor
La Petite Academy, Inc. is a leading provider of quality Preschool education and childcare, with over 12,000 employees operating 650 Academies and supporting more than 70,000 students nationwide. We have an immediate opening for a "Benefits Counselor" for our downtown corporate headquarter's in Chicago.
Responsibilities include: administering new hire group insurance enrollment; serving as primary contact for all benefit enrollments; inputting payroll deductions for benefits elected; conducting new hire benefits orientations; verifying eligibility to ensure compliance with IRS regulations; prepare enrollment materials; assist new hires with benefit questions; participating in the administration of qualifying events and open enrollment for the company.
Management of processes related to benefits administration and additional benefits related services offered by the company. Management of department initiatives and other related team projects is required.

REQUIREMENTS
Strong customer service skills; experience with decentralized customer base; strong organizational and time management skills; self motivator; ability to work in a fast paced computerized environment; excellent oral communication skills; experience with Section 125 cafeteria plans, Flexible Spending Accounts, self-insured plans, dental, vision, prescription drug plans, 401(k), life insurance and disability; team oriented; strong focus on service.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
College Degree strongly preferred, but not required.
1-2 years prior benefits and or customer service experience preferred.
Special Requirements:
Must have excellent customer service, communication, and analytical skills.
