Benefits Analyst - Health & Welfare

Job Summary: Job Summary:
Support development of H&W plan premiums and credit plans
Support the development of open enrollment materials, Summary Plan Descriptions and miscellaneous benefit communication materials
Support development and review of all benefit valuation work
Proactively identify issues requiring action and develop innovative solutions
Support the management of vendor relationships including preparing and analyzing vendor RFPs, contracts and performance metrics
Support the unit in the development of recommended changes to the design of employee benefit plans
Support the preparation of all regulatory filings
Support through reports and analysis the development and management of Corporate Benefits Budgeting and account reconciliation
Support and develop report generation and reconciliation in support of the FASB valuation
Support vendor contract negotiation, preparation, renewal and review
Gives counsel and assistance to others in connection with unusual or difficult benefit plan provisions
Functions as a benefits expert, reviewing unique situations and recommending appropriate actionReports To:
Principal AnalystBasis Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related discipline plus 5 years experience
Working knowledge of Company benefit plans and knowledge of benefit plans in general
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make appropriate recommendations
Demonstrated ability to independently organize and perform work activities and to simultaneously handle multiple complex projects
Ability to plan work, lead and motivate others and perform associated paperwork
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver presentations to groups of employees and retirees
Strong computer, report writing and spreadsheet skills
Familiarity with PeopleSoft
