Schefenacker Vision Systems, a TS16949 facility with over 700 employees, located in Marysville, Michigan, a global leader in the production of automotive mirrors has an immediate need to fill the following position:



Buyer Coordinates purchasing materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies. Responsible for supplier selection & componentry. Research commodities to support global and local requirements. Source profiling and database management. Cost reduction program tracking in conjunction with the global and local requirements. Prepare purchase orders and Request for Quote key commodities, production/tooling & equipment. Purchasing experience in key commodities supporting the automotive industry a must. Experience in cost down activities both internally and externally with the supply base.


Purchasing experience in key commodities supporting the automotive industry. Experience in Supplier Development preferred. Experience in cost-down activities both internally and externally with the supply base. Knowledge in automotive systems and requirements preferred.


Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college, and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency in Spanish and/or German preferred. No relocation package available.
