Accounting Specialist

Custom Carpet Manufacturing and Distribution is the parent company of Christopher Michaels Fine Carpets & Flooring, LLC dba Macy's Flooring operating retail and wholesale operations in Chicago, Minneapolis and Detroit markets as well as nationally through Internet sales. We are experiencing 300%+ growth and have an immediate need for a highly motivated, innovative, computer savvy individual capable of contributing significantly to the management of our financial growth.

This position will be involved in all aspects of the accounting, financial reporting, forecasting and analysis. They will be expected to close the books for this division on a monthly basis, prepare financial reporting and analysis, perform forecasting, and be involved in re-engineering a variety of processes that impact the operations.

Responsibilities:

Monthly close activities for the full P&L and related balance sheet accounts; this includes recording activity, account analysis and reconciliations.

Prepare financial reporting for executive management.

Financial analysis for the division, including full P&L analysis, costs centers, product line gross margin analysis, etc.

Prepare monthly forecasts and annual plan.

Prepare analysis and presentations to the executive business partners on a variety of strategic objectives.

Contract review for revenue recognition criteria.

Develop new reporting to support operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Software interfacing experience a plus.

Minimum 4 years experience.

Must have experience in working with multiple divisions and entities.

Strong Excel and computer skills.

CPA highly preferred.

Bachelor degree in Accounting.
