Accounting Manager

East-end manufacturing company in Louisville, KY has an immediate opening for a talented individual to fill the position of Accounting Manager for our company. Our company designs and manufactures thermal and pressure switches and sensors used worldwide in the appliance and automotive industries. This is a “high visibility” position that will report to the Vice-President of Finance. The salary is competitive and we offer an excellent benefits package.

JOB DESCRIPTION

a. Oversee all payables/receivables

b. Do timely preparation of month-end financial statements

c. Have experience with bill paying and invoicing

d. Do reconciliation of bank accounts

e. Have knowledge of payroll and payroll laws

f. Have knowledge of 1099 forms

g. Manage budget expenses and prepare forecasts

h. Maintain all company insurance policies

i. Systems design and maintenance

j. Supervise staff of three persons in accounting & admin departments

Have 4-5 years experience in accounting supervision
Have a four-year degree in accounting or related field
Have experience in a manufacturing environment
Have excellent computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Lotus, Peachtree, ADP Payroll)
Be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions
