Wholesale Account Executive - Minnesota

Employment Type: Regular Full/Part Time: Full Time Division: Consumer Location: Virtual Location This position is located in Minnesota.

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Performs a wide range of duties relating to the acquisition of residential consumer loans from third party originators (TPO's). Develops new contacts and services existing TPO's within the standards and objectives defined by management. Actively participates in cross-selling opportunities between TPO's and their customers, as well as with other divisions of the bank. Maintains contacts and relationships with both internal and external customers to ensure all expectations are met. Assumes overall responsibility for maximizing a successful business relationship with their TPO customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works in assigned territory to ensure awareness by TPO's of Home Equity of America loan products and policies.

Develops new TPO contacts through various mortgage affiliations including mortgage broker and banker organizations, mortgage insurance company contacts, etc...

Maintains knowledge of Home Equity of America policies and procedures, loan products, and pricing.

Follows defined protocol for escalation of exceptions.

Assists new TPO's throughout the approval process.

Assumes responsibility for complete training of new TPO on all Home Equity of America loan products, pricing, processing, underwriting, and funding procedures, and conducts follow-up training as needed.

Aggressively assists in resolving procedural deficiencies of TPO's.

Manages pipeline for all registered loans through closing and package delivery to maximize pull-through with on-time delivery.

Actively shares in due diligence of investigating business background of potential new TPO's as well as being aware of TPO compliance procedures and customer satisfaction issues. Immediately reports to management any knowledge of procedures or conduct by TPO that are not in compliance with Home Equity of America's standards.

Maintains high levels of customer service while managing each TPO and support staff's expectations.

Enhances and encourages the effort to cross-sell both TPO's for business services as well as TPO's new customers in multiple banking services.

Manages to the monthly, quarterly, and annual goals established by Home Equity of America.

Job RequirementsMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:


Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.


Minimum one-year mortgage industry experience in a sales capacity.


Ability to work in an independent environment


Ability to cultivate and manage a lending territory


Knowledge of conventional and consumer lending guidelines and processes from application to closing.


Knowledge of federal/state lending regulations governing real estate lending.


Substantial knowledge of automated underwriting systems.


Ability to read financial statements and understand forms of business ownership.


Demonstrated organizational skills.


Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills.


Proven computer skills.
