Value Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Value Analyst is responsible for supporting the Value Analysis Specialists and Director or Manager of Contracting with regard to financial analysis, reporting and measuring of data/statistics. Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation/presentation of reports and data is a key responsibility. Coordinates and assists with the planning of all logistical and administrative activities related to the National Value Analysis Advisory Council meeting. Performs other duties and projects as outlined by the Director of Contracting & Performance Improvement.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Support of the Value Analysis Specialists and Director or Manager of Contracting with regard to financial analysis, reporting, and measuring of data/statistics.
Assist in the development of performance metrics for facility supply improvement initiatives.
Develop data survey collection tools, research techniques, and analytical methodology to use for analysis purposes.
Using statistical economic and financial principles ensures the accurate and timely preparation/presentation of reports and data.
Interpret data concerning financial trends and economic and business forecasts as it relates to the Value Analysis.
Develops, prepares and coordinates communication between the National Office and LHM’s.
Coordinates and assists with the planning of all logistical and administrative activities related to the National Value Analysis Advisory Council meeting.
REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years healthcare related experience with hospital purchasing or materials management information systems and/or similar data analyst experience where analytical skills are considered to be transferable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce results with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of healthcare products used in acute care settings
Demonstrated organizational and communication skills, verbal and written
Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, database and word-processing applications
