Underwriting Team Leader

We represent a growing property-casualty insurance company headquartered in West Des Moines in their search for a person to lead the Iowa and Nebraska territory. This is a newly created position, strategically developed to help the company expand the high-quality services they deliver to their large agency network.

Supervisory responsibilities will include training and mentoring 8+ underwriters located in the West Des Moines office and in offices throughout the territory. Performance management and development of agency relationships will be paramount in this leadership role.
REQUIREMENTS
The best candidates will have a bachelor's degree and 7+ years of personal/commercial lines underwriting experience. The CPCU designation, multi-lines experience, and the ability to nurture and develop relationships are decisive factors in candidate evaluation.
