Underwriting Support AnalystIn this role, the successful candidate will be relied on to independently coach and counsel field underwriters and Operations staff on a broad spectrum of complex mortgage loan applications. Primary responsibilities will include investigating and analyzing a variety of unusual conditions, problems or questions; providing guidance, opinions and insight; and identifying/recommending alternative loan structuring and financing solutions. This position also applies specialized knowledge to interpret applicable internal and regulatory underwriting guidelines and render a final opinion. The successful candidate will have the authority to make underwriting exceptions, deviations and recommendations or adjustments as appropriate. Other duties include creating policy/procedures manuals, in addition to ensuring the currency of business rules in automated underwriting systems.Requirements:

6+ years underwriting experience.

Multiple underwriting designations.

4-year college degree preferred.

Advanced computer skills.

Excellent customer interface skills.

Strong analytic, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
