Underwriter - Lisle

In accordance with company goals and trends, builds and manages underwriting territory selecting new business with producer awareness.
Job SpecificsIndependently analyzes new and renewal business within underwriting authority.Collects facts, analyzes data and presents thought process regarding logical conclusions to management and producer clearly and concisely.Presents flexibility within parameters of underwriting criteria.
Identifies priorities; utilizes whatever time is necessary to accomplish major priorities. Handles pressures of everyday business decisions. Responds with tact and clarity to all concerned with territory management.
Provides direction to Underwriting Assistants or Assistant Underwriter.
Performs other job related duties as assignedEducation, Skills and Experience RequirementsCollege degree preferred.
1-2 years underwriting experience preferred. Knowledge of Workers´ Compensation desirable.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
