PricewaterhouseCoopers is currently seeking highly motivated individuals for a position as Senior Associate in the firm’s Chicago office. Your responsibility will be to provide valuation support to the Firm’s audit practice, primarily in assessing enterprise and intangible asset valuations, as well as complex mergers & acquisitions and financing structures.The Structuring Group provides accounting and valuation advice to corporate and private equity firms, on a broad range of transactions used to execute commercial strategies. Experience mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, alliances, IPOs, outsourcing, licensing, minority investments and specialty financing structures like lease financing and securitizations. We also assist clients in reviewing valuation analyses and resolving issues for transaction assessment and financial reporting purposes.As a Senior Associate, you would play an important role in strengthening client relationships. You will work closely with managers, directors and partners and will be consistently challenged to demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative. The work environment provides constant access to highly credentialed senior members of the group.The daily activities of a Valuation Senior Associate include:Valuation review - assess valuation analyses (e.g. purchase price allocation and enterprise valuations)
Financial analysis - develop financial models and perform comparative and pro-forma analysis
Compliance - be a technical liaison for clients (both internal and external)
Transaction execution - interact with clients and act as an integral part of the engagement team
Business development - prepare new business presentations and conduct industry research
Thought leadership - Capture thinking on complex technical matters and communicate it to end users
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
In selecting our candidate, we look for individuals with an undergraduate accounting, economics or finance degree who displayed superior achievements in academic and extracurricular activities. Advanced degree(s) and professional designations (ASA, CFA, CPA) are strongly preferred.Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate finance, asset valuation or appraisal preferred;
In-depth knowledge of valuation principles in areas such as enterprise valuation, intangible assets and complex financial instruments;
FAS 141, 142 or 144 knowledge a plus;
Ability to understand the big picture and the interrelationships between asset classes;
Strong team work and technology skills;
Excellent aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal);
