This role offers exposure to SIG's operations on various exchange floors as well as the office environment. Working in a dynamic team of experienced professionals this individual will provide hands-on support to a user base comprised of Traders, Associates and office personnel. This role will include aspects of networking, telecommunications, hardware and application support, and data center monitoring. Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, ordering, configuring and installing hardware and software and prioritizing assignments. The qualified candidate will be exposed to many products and proprietary applications and will be provided with adequate training and resources to be successful in the role. REQUIREMENTS
2 - 3 years of demonstrated progressive technical support experience requiredPC and laptop hardware installation experience and a working knowledge of MS Office and Windows XPExperience with or a willingness to learn Market Data service platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and MicroHedgeTheoretical knowledge of networking and telecommunicationsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsDemonstrated project management skills along with proven success working with the business a must.Bachelors degree strongly preferredAbility to work well and troubleshoot quickly in a fast-paced, time-critical environmentA proven team-player with exceptional communication skills and strong orientation to team building and mentoringSalary/BenefitsAt SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
