In this New York City based position, you will advise companies on the tax depreciation implications of their fixed assets to obtain optimal tax minimization. As a staff level Associate or Senior Associate, you will have an opportunity to network extensively with existing and prospective clients to assume a high degree of responsibility and exposure to clients. The focus of this role will be Federal Cost Segregation and Tax Depreciation Studies. Ideal candidates will have one to five years experience in Federal Cost Segregation consulting; have an intimate knowledge of the federal rules and regulations and court decisions governing tax depreciation as well as Revenue Procedure 02-09 and/or have a strong engineering background. Day-to day activities include site inspections, interaction with construction and client personnel, blueprint and load analysis, data mining, technical tax research and report preparation. Travel is required.

Construction experience is desirable, as is cost estimating and blueprint reading; Big Six experience is a plus. The candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record, have an engineering degree as well as strong organization and computer skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also required. Professional designations such as a Professional Engineer (PE) are preferred. Travel required.
