Staff Auditor

Allstate Insurance Company located in Northbrook Illinois is seeking candidates interested in the Internal Audit profession. Ideal candidates are motivated individuals who seek opportunities in a dynamic, team-based work environment. As part of Allstate’s Internal Audit department you will learn various aspects of Allstate’s business including Property & Casualty sales and risk management, procurement and financial services. The position provides the opportunity to interact with individuals across the organization, including Senior Management. Travel requirements are minimal (15%).

The individual will be responsible for:
1.Audit planning and execution, including process and control evaluation
2.Leading audit projects involving two or more staff members
3.Coordinating and directing the work of other project members on leadership assignments
4.Providing ongoing internal control consulting
5.Partnering with Management in support of key initiatives and projects
6.Developing and applying computer assisted audit techniques
7.Supporting Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, sustainment and improvement efforts
REQUIREMENTS
The skills required are:
1. Internal audit theory and application
2. Business acumen
3. Project and time management
4. Oral and written communication
5. Relationship building

Experience Required:
1. 1-3 years Internal Audit or Public Accounting experience
2. Insurance or financial services experience preferred
3. CPA or CIA certification or study is desirable

Computer Proficiency:
Microsoft Office Suite

Education:
College degree required - major preference of Accounting or Finance
