Sr Product Manager - Policy/Underwriting

The Senior Product Manager Policy/Underwriting Production Support will work closely with mulitple business areas. This position is responsible for overall management of the day to day support of production systems, oversight of new development, implementations, consulting on business process implications and change management. You will manage a team of resources responsible for supporting the policy/underwriting side of the business. You must be able to mange the customer relationship from a technical perspective and provide a high level of communication and proactive support to keep relationships on track and growing. Proven problem-solving abilities in both business and technical environments and proven ability to identify and anticipate problems.
Position Requirements:
Manages and monitors the efforts of others on the development and support team.
Performs other jobs related duties as assigned.
Formulates/defines system scope and objectives.
Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems.
Manages the outcome of design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. Has full technical knowledge of all phases of application system analysis and programming. Has good understanding of the business or function for which applications/implementations are designed.
Also has duties instructing, directing and managing the work of your team and their end product. Responsible for systems meeting the business needs. Responsible for monitoring the work of team members.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
College degree or equivalent experience.
Business experience with Policy and Claims a plus.
Experience in Production Support.
Must be a self starter, yet work effectively on a team
Ability to manage and/or participate in multiple projects and/or assignments.
Workers´ Compensation Insurance background preferable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Superior interpersonal skills including setting and managing customer expectations.
Understanding of the functions and objectives of the user community.
Understanding of business and technical analytical techniques.
