Sr. Java Developer

Position Summary: This position is responsible for developing components and applications required to support our business. The candidate will need to be self-motivated and able to interact well with non-technical business peers to develop requirements and implement solutions. The solutions will be developed in Java built to run on Unix, Windows and AS400 environments. Business areas that this candidate will be focusing on include our client site (RTA) and internal autoprocessing solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Develop components and applications to support the execution and clearing of all products our company offers.
* Responsible for special projects as directed by management; * Participate in the development of project plans and contribute effectively to planning and control.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge:
?Extensive understanding of Java development methodologies
?Web development
?Thin client technologies
?Experience in the futures/brokerage industry

Technical Skills:
* Java Developer certification
* Experience in architecture proposal/implementation; expert-level UML knowledge as well as XML, XSL, ejb, hibernate, jsf, jsp, and sql
* Oracle and SQL Server preferred, CVS, Open Source knowledge, C++ and object oriented programming
