Sr Forecast Analyst - ERP/MRP experience
Summary
Using strong analytical skills, create item level forecasts for 2000+ products. Establish processes and procedures to improve forecast accuracy. Communicate results and implement demand changes to the MRP inventory planning system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Blend and balance Sales input, hard orders, promotions, credit data, product line reviews, discontinuation plans and past history into a monthly sales forecast using a variety of data gathering techniques and statistical (i.e. regression) analysis
Collaborate effectively with Sales, Operations, and Marketing staff to:
Understand TREND’s business
Identify and prioritize data sources that are critical to forecast accuracy
Validate information that is reported
Establish accuracy targets that can be measured
Create and advocate procedures to ensure timely input
Suggest and prioritize corrective efforts based on the gap between forecast and actual, and based on business impact
Demonstrate the ability to identify trends and data patterns, and then to interpret the data by creating summaries and leading briefings to stakeholders in Sales, Operations, Marketing, and for TREND’s leadership team
Prioritize review of products based on business impact, and as part of a continuous product review process
Determine, articulate, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Information Technology teams to recommend system needs to continually enhance the forecasting system as measured by accuracy and timeliness

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in appropriate disciplines including business, marketing, mathematics, and statistics
Strong analytical skills. Able to read and understand data, identify trends, create metrics, make recommendations, validate information, and create summaries reports for various business partners.
Able drive process recommendations and development
Detail oriented and accurate
Excellent project management skills
Solid judgment and common sense
Excellent writing and speaking skills
Exposure to Sales and Operations Planning, Materials Requirement Planning and other internal and external collaborative processes preferred
Minimum of 5 years of related/relevant experience
Leadership skills; able to influence and partner with others.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Access and Excel
Experience with an ERP/MRP system
Experience with J.D. Edwards/Business Objects and Crystal Reports, and other comparable analytical tools is a SIGNIFICANT plus
Manufacturing experience preferred.
