Senior Statistical Analyst
Design, coordinate and conduct complex statistical and business analysis projects using the appropriate internal or external data sources. Act as liaison for clients (e.g. senior management, planning and analysis, DFSI functional areas, and others) with outside service bureaus, consultants, or DFSI I/T to give analytical advice, act as a control point, plan and implement projects and interpret results. Control projects that support Risk information requirements. Provide explanations for the content, access, and platform requirements of the appropriate systems as a tool in decision support.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or related major.A minimum of three years of experience, preferably within the credit card, financial services or direct mail industries.A strong background in applied statistics including modeling and target marketing applications, research design and analysis is need.
Experience with statistical software (SAS) and other analytical tools, preferably in AIX/UNIX and PC environments.
A general knowledge of marketing and finance is needed.Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills, the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, and the ability to interact effectively with outside vendors.
Ability to present to senior management.
Project management experience; ability to prioritize based on client needs and the strategic direction of the company, ability to meet deadlines and follow through on the completion of complex, high-profile projects.DESIRED SKILLS:
Master's degree (MBA or Applied Social Sciences) with emphasis in statistics, quantitative management, econometrics, economics, etc., or the equivalent in training and experience. SQL.
