Senior Staff Accountant

Successful, fast growing manufacturing company in the food industry is currently seeking a self-motivated, organized and career minded Senior Staff Accountant.



The position is a key position within the Accounting Department which is located in Dallas (bordering Arlington) and plays a key role in the preparation of month end financials.



Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant



Assist in the preparation of monthly financials statements
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and analysis in support of audited financials
Work closely with operations on inventory control, including annual physical inventory and interim inventory observations
Responsible for general ledger maintenance and account reconciliation
Responsible for preparing and recording journal transaction including backup documentation
Assist in development of overall accounting procedures by recommending improvements or changes for great efficiency
Responsible for reconciliation of inter-company payables and receivables
Responsible for maintenance and update of fixed asset register
Supervise various accounting functions to ensure timeliness and accuracy of performance
Special projects / assignments as assigned
Ensure proper coordination and communication with other departments and within accounting department to achieve the accurate and complete recording of activities for month end REQUIREMENTS


Requirements of the Senior Staff Accountant

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum of 4 years in accounting preferably manufacturing environment
Proficiency in use of excel, with access a plus
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal/external customers
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detailed orientated and organized with good problem resolution skills
