The department is committed to improve clinical intervention to enhance patient out come and the prevention of illness.The Senior Research Associate will actively support the research programs in obesity and depression headed by the Chairman of Psychiatry. The key objectives of this position are to assist with the different stages of manuscript and grant preparation for regulatory agencies. The candidate selected will prepare presentations from research data in Keynote and Powerpoint, develop spreadsheets and manage large data files. Coordinate with contributors to ensure timely submission of manuscripts, edit for length and/or grammar and style as needed.Additional responsibilities will include assisting in developing and optimizing research techniques and methods from clinical research (recruitment, data management and project coordination) or in the laboratories (animal work and development of new assays) and support of journals, grant submission, grant management and renewal.


Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree and at least one year of relevant work experience with evidence of tangible contributions to the dissemination of new research information. Candidates must have experience in scientific writing and proofreading. English skills (both written and verbal) required. An appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certification will be considered.
