Senior IS Auditor

Purpose:
Sr. I.S. Auditor

TRIBUNE Internal Audit is seeking I.S. audit and systems professionals to join our team. The Sr. IS Auditor will be responsible for risk assessment, control identification, development of audit testing and detail reviews of the organization and functional units’ internal controls environment, computer applications, IS operations, and activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Review system of internal controls, its documentation and operations, to ensure that the appropriate level of control exist for regulatory compliance (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley);
Verify the functioning of general IT and application controls around existing computer systems;
Evaluate and assist in the design of computer systems to ensure the most effective use of controls, methodology and tools;
Assess the adequacy of Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans including testing procedures;
Make presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the reviews;
Discuss deficiencies and recommend corrective action to improve controls and operations;
REQUIREMENTS
Travel Percentage: 25%

This position requires:
Experience in performing reviews of IS general and application controls, UNIX, Windows, PeopleSoft, mainframe environment and/or Network security;
Excellent communication skills and strong analytical and organizational skills;
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
An undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Accounting or related field;
3 to 5 years of Information Systems audit or equivalent experience;
Certification as a CISA, CISSP or CIA is very desirable, advanced degree a plus;
Must be able to manage 30% - 35% travel.
