Senior Financial Accountant

Responsibilities: The Senior Financial Accountant performs /oversees accounting duties related to the maintenance of the general ledger accounts and preparation of financial statements. This position is responsible for activities associated with the daily / month-end accounting, accounts payable, regulatory reporting, accounting systems, and fundamental management reporting. The position will interact in a positive and constructive manner in a team environment and provide solutions and ideas to finance customers and other team members. This person will perform general ledger accounting for all aspects of the mortgage banking business. This would include processing accounting entries, maintaining account reconciliations, development and coordination of internal controls that ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. This person will assist with the reorganization and streamlining of accounting processes and support the implementation of new and/or revised accounting processes.
