Senior Evaluator

The Evaluations-Structured Finance group, which is part of Standard & Poor's Securities Data Services division, provides independent third party pricing to hedge funds, banks, and insurance companies. This group is actively recruiting for a Senior Evaluator to focus on Asset Backed Securities.



The Senior Evaluator, using Intext Asset Back Security data, is responsible for monitoring, analyzing ABS data and using the S&P pricing model, for pricing securities, which are published daily; and for maintaining Asset Back Security information. On a daily basis, either on the phone or in person, the selected candidate will talk with underwriters, bank portfolio managers, or hedge fund managers about their Asset Back Securities. Occasionally, the Senior Evaluator will coordinate projects that are focused on model development, systems improvement, or quality improvement. This position has one direct report.



REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree is required At least five years experience analyzing asset back securities and developing and managing customer relationships is required Must possess a solid working knowledge of credit, cash flow analysis, pricing and pricing model development Highly proficient Excel skills required; an ability to develop macros would be a plus Highly proficient Access skills required Demonstrated ability to build models, enhance models and oversee the correction of any gaps in a model Previous experience dealing with compliance issues, or at least possess a basic understanding of compliance issues and possess a willingness to quickly adapt to an environment that deals with compliance issues Demonstrated excellent customer relationship building and customer relationship management skills Excellent teamwork skills and be able to quickly integrate with the group Experience managing others, including hiring, performance management, training and performance coaching
