Senior Auto Appraiser

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Infinity Insurance, a national provider of personal automobile insurance, needs an ambitious, enthusiastic person for a position as a Senior Automobile Appraiser.

The person in this position investigates, evaluates and appraises damaged automobiles, and may be called upon to settle assigned claims within an authorized dollar limit. Examines first and third party vehicle damage in the field. Takes pictures and prepares a written appraisal in an accepted format so as to determine and verify the extent of vehicular damage. Negotiates repair prices facilities and secures agreed prices for repairs. Visits repair shops to evaluate physical plant, quality of work and may provide a list of garage or repair facilities to insured. Negotiates settlements in a timely manner as assigned. Ensures equitable and fair payment of physical damage losses within authority granted. Obtains all necessary documentation to substantiate the appraisal and/or settlement being offered.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Three (3) years of experience in auto appraising for an insurance carrier or independent firm.

2. Demonstrated proficiency in conducting accurate damage assessments.

3. Must maintain a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

4. Good planning and organizational skills.

5. Must apply for and maintain all applicable licenses required by the state to which the individual is assigned.
