Senior Associates, Audit

We are currently seeking an Audit Senior Associate to join us in our Chicago office.KPMG’s Audit practice uses a methodology that transforms the audit process from a traditional compliance-driven function to a risk-based approach by creating a framework for auditors to assess how a client's business risks affect financial statements. This approach offers a more comprehensive view of how a client's unique risk environment affects its financial reporting.
Responsibilities:

Plan and execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements of various clients, including Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants

Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Managers and Partners

Identify performance improvement opportunities

Interact with clients to help ensure that the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient

Supervise the audit staff assigned to engagements, including completing performance reviews

Work with the audit team to develop hourly budgets and fee analysis

Understand and utilize KPMG’s Audit Methodology
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Two years of current and/or recent audit experience in public accounting

BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university

Eligible to sit for the CPA exam

Applied working knowledge of the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures

Demonstrated supervisory experience

Able to meet challenging client requirements, provide services, and possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills

Willing to travel
