Senior Associate, Senior Information Security Risk-Analyst / job

Position Description1.Conduct and coordinate information technology risk assessments based on information security risk policies, industry standards, guidelines and best practices. This includes partnering with Security Engineering team as required to recommend risk mitigation.
2.Coordinate across business teams to conduct and track third-party business partner risk assessments

3.Perform audit and compliance activities.
4.Foster good working relationships with business and IT managers to ensure the organization meets its objectives in a risk controlled manner.
5.Participate in proactive research and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
6.Complete and coordinate projects and tasks related to developing, implementing, maintaining and communicating security-related awareness, policy, procedures and administration.
7.Provide reports to superiors regarding the effectiveness of data security as implemented by internal and external business partners and makes recommendations for the adoption of new procedures or controls.
8.Conduct project-related work for the Risk Management Team
9.Must be highly motivated and able to work effectively under minimal supervision.
10.Must be team-oriented, placing priority on the successful completion of team goals
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Skills Required1.5+ years information security, audit or regulatory compliance experience in the financial and/or banking industry2.Knowledge of ISO17799, NIST and COBIT3.Experience with information technology risk analysis and mitigation techniques4.Experience in conducting 3rd party risk assessments5.Very strong analysis, project management, verbal and written communication skills6.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively7.Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously8.Bachelors Degree
DESIRED SKILLS:
Skills Desired1.CISSP, CISA, GIAC or other risk management certification(s)
2.4+ years experience as an information security risk management consultant for a large corporation or on of the “big four” consulting firms
