Senior Associate - Risk Systems Management
SUMMARY:Support Senior Management in the execution of strategic initiatives by designing and implementing credit policy or business rules into a decision engine. Job responsibilities to include new development and ongoing maintenance of existing strategies within the Business Rules Engine to ensure accurate execution of business credit policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
§Assist in the development of project plans relating to overall implementation of credit policy and Business Rules Engine design.
§Analyze requirements documentation for Business Rule Engine projects. Work with business partners to ensure documentation is clear and complete. Assist in the negotiation of business requirements to ensure successful implementation of projects by the preferred target date.
§Translate business requirements into high-level designs for strategy implementation. Work with cross-functional business partners to review and finalize the design approach.
§Identify and document requirements for coding in other systems to facilitate strategy processing.
§Translate high-level strategy design into detailed technical designs for strategy implementations. Includes updating, reviewing and maintaining documentation of specifications entered into the Business Rules Engine.
§Work with other business unit to ensure integration of design with support systems.
§Enter business rules into Business Rules Engine. Conduct quality assurance assessment to ensure accuracy of data input.
§Resolve defects encountered during testing. Includes working with all testing resources to identify defects and specific causes, updating appropriate system documentation for solutions and reviewing with business and technology partners as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM):
Performs tasks with minimal supervision and direction.
Business and Technical Skills:
§Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required, including Excel, Access and Visio.
§Experience with Object-Oriented concepts, Java and Unix required.
§Experience with COBOL and JCL required.
§Experience in Financial Services required.
§Quality Assurance experience required; technical testing concepts including black/white box testing, unit, and regression.
§Business Rule Engine experience required.
Leadership Qualities:
§Planning and organization skills. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
§Problem solving skills; Research alternatives to determine best solution.
§Written and verbal communication skills; Ability to interact with all levels and across departments of the organization.
§Understanding of the credit risk business environment, including modeling and statistical concepts.
Education:
§Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Information Technology or other related area required. Masters degree preferred.
Relationships:
§Internal – Risk policy areas, Marketing, Operations and Business Technology. Interact at the staff and manager level for requirements clarification, system design, and testing.DESIRED SKILLS:
