Senior Associate-Merchant Portfolio Analysis

DESCRIPTION
Key role is report and information analysis. Compile data and develop process models. Provide reporting to all levels of Discover Network management and associates.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
Serve as a data access expert. Apply knowledge and skills within tools (MicroStrategy, Cognos, QMF, etc.) to provide pertinent data to business partners.
Function as a Power User within DFS systems and software applications. Demonstrate skills to effectively compile and analyze data. Assist business partners by providing technical support and expertise in using tools (MicroStrategy, Cognos, etc.)
Utilize tools (MicroStrategy, Cognos, QMF, etc.) and methodologies to develop programs and reporting to deliver actionable information to business partners. Influence business decisions through accurate and effective presentation of information.
Review work processes, create process models, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
Assist in the development of department goals, strategies, and quality measures.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
SKILLS REQUIRED
Proven skills with Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Cognos, etc.)
Strong SQL (QMF) skills, with ability to create advanced queriesExcellent planning and organization skillsStrong working knowledge of Discover Network business processes, procedures, merchant structures, and information systemsProject management skillsAbility to work independently, with minimal management intervention
