Senior Associate - Market Research

Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate in their Institutional Market Research Group. The function of this group is to support internal clients with market, product, client and competitor level data.

Please note the responsibilities of this position:

• Create and maintain quarterly industry market flows report to be used by senior management
• Gather and analyze competitor level data to support sales initiatives (e.g. sizing demand/flows, evaluating market share, analyzing competitor fees)
• Respond to daily custom research requests; generally entails creating reports or analyzing data from one of the market databases or conducting research on the internet
• Monitor and report key investment trends based on research from various sources, including daily trade journals and industry websites
• Update quarterly performance reports using various research databases and post to the intranet
• Develop in-depth profiles of key competitors
REQUIREMENTS
Skills Required:
• Five years of market research or investment marketing related experience
• Strong understanding of the institutional market and knowledge of product positioning within each segment
• Knowledge of Alternative Investments a strong plus
• Experience using research databases is preferred (Callan, eVestment, Russell, Zephyr, Morningstar, Lipper, Nelsons, PSN, Money Market Directory, and PerTrac)
• Outstanding analytical, writing and oral communication/presentation skills as well as the ability to be resourceful and deliver timely, accurate and insightful information

Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• MBA and/or CFA preferred
