Senior Associate, Finanical Risk Management

Advisory professionals are also able to provide clients with relevant industry and functional skills where they need them most. We are currently seeking Financial Risk Management Senior Associates to join us in our Pittsburgh office.
KPMG’s Financial Risk Management (FRM) Services professionals help management and boards of directors to identify, measure, and monitor financial and business risks, the relationships between risks and returns, and the control environment over the management and reporting of these risks. In the very complex world of financial instruments, FRM professionals have assisted in valuation approaches; stress testing, model development and risk rating, and measurement approaches to help management leverage the leading practices in risk identification and measurement.Responsibilities:

Perform financial risk management engagements related to key financial risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, credit, regulatory, commodity, treasury risks, and related operational controls

Analyze and assess activities related to corporations or financial institutions cash management, foreign exchange, investment, short-term borrowing, and pension fund management

Review, validate, or develop Value-at-Risk, stress testing, extreme value theory, and dynamic financial analysis models

Review derivative and capital market instrument pricing models

Review operational risk management and internal control policies and procedures

Assist with the review of FAS 133 policies

Develop and support risk management models for use in the production of client deliverables

Support proposal and business development activities

Identify new target clients, build business relationships with key executives and participate in professional organizations

Provide leadership and oversight to KPMG team members regarding deliverables, project plan and performance management
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Seven years of relevant experience in industry or other advisory services practice

BS/BA degree in Finance, Economics, or related major from an accredited college/university

Basic understanding of financial products such as options, futures, forwards, swaps, foreign exchange and bonds

Experience with treasury operations, including cash management

Trading, hedging, and risk management skills

Superior quantitative and analytical skills

Progressive experience leading teams and managing projects

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Willingness/Ability to travel approximately 80 percent of the time
