GENERAL ANALYST DESCRIPTIONResponsible for the analytical support of Portfolio Marketing to help business partners achieve volume, usage, and profitability goals. Supports Marketing Managers on the design and execution of promotional campaigns. Analyzes campaign performance and makes strategic recommendations to improve efficiencies. Consults with Business Partners in strategy development.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently and able to manage multiple projects.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Advises on test designs and selection criteria for various campaigns.
Ensures readable results. Analyzes the performance of promotional campaigns.
Compares champion and challenger cells.
Makes recommendations based on the analysis. Manages the model development process either internally or with outside vendors.
Works with Marketing Managers to develop programs and supports implementation of the models. Consults with Business Partners on any strategic issues related to Portfolio Marketing.
Operates as the subject matter expert in questions concerning statistical validity. Guides the on-going development and maintenance of the decision support databases and systems.
Works with the appropriate areas to ensure future data and system needs are met.SENIOR ASSOCIATE - CUSTOMER CONTACT STRATEGY Position performs analysis to support measurement/optimization of cardmember offer strategy across business lines (Usage, Rewards, Fee Products, Balance Transfer, etc.). Primary emphasis is supporting analysis of cardmember contacts through phone, direct mail, and statement channels. Position encompasses campaign measurement, recommendations on targeting strategies, and various adhoc analyses. Position works with Customer Contact Strategy, Marketing Services, Decision Sciences, Marketing, Finance, and Business Technology.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
A Master’s degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, business, computer sciences, or other heavily quantitative degree is a must.
3+ years professional experience– with a strong background in data and financial analysis. Modeling experience is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Candidate must have the ability to work with minimum supervision and demonstrate outstanding problem solving and decision making skills. Extensive experience with SAS or similar statistical software packages in UNIX and PC environments is a must. SQL experience preferred. Strong Excel skills required. Strong statistical and analytical problem conceptualization, communication, and project management skills required. Experience with predictive modeling, segmentation, and experimental design (preferably in the credit card industry) required. Strong hands on ability with SAS and SQL is a must.DESIRED SKILLS:
