Quantitative Analyst (4679)QUANTITATIVE ANALYST (4679)Responsibilities:Develop and/or apply statistical techniques to formulate volatility term structures, correlations matrices, and market/price depth parameters to support the market modeling market efforts of the company’s ERCOT or PJM marketing teams. Develop models to support valuation analysis by structuring of origination deals. Perform analysis to recommend appropriate hourly, daily, and weekly shapes and model appropriate new entry characteristics for forward price curves. Develop and maintain a database of relevant real-time data to support on-going parameter estimation and technical analysis of the ERCOT or PJM markets.Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 (plus bonus)Qualifications:Masters level in quantitative discipline (Financial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics etc) and at least 4 years energy related job experience is required. Must also have significant experience with programming languages (C++, SAS and/or MATLAB), analysis of time-series data and a comprehensive understanding of stochastic processes & parameters. A strong financial and deregulated energy background preferred is highly preferred as is prior experience supporting origination &/or trading function.
