Project manager & Planner

**10 month contract to hire**

IT background -- understanding of terms and how software/hardware projects are run (what types of things are done -- data fields, validation checking, switches, routers and their function, how things go wrong)

SW application -- what it takes to put an application in place (data sources, integration, connections to other applications)

Prefer experience in Manufacturing Engineering and Bill of Material Reconciliation.

Job Responsibilities include:

* Integrate all aspects of a project through the application of effective project management tools and techniques.

* Development of a viable project plan to satisfy the project charter and business requirements; management of quality, time, costs, risks, actions/issues; effective resource management and procurement oversight; adequate and timely execution of communications plan; effective change control; and status reporting.

* Maintain CMMI Level 3 compliance at satisfactory or better (Green/Blue) throughout project life cycle.

* Apply appropriate IT Solutions policies and procedures located in NGIT- IT Solutions Command Media and Project Management Practices in the NGIT- IT Solutions Integrated Engineering Process Guide.

* Conduct required quality assurance reviews and respond to all audit review findings.

* Maintain overall project health of at satisfactory or better (Green/Blue) throughout the project life cycle reflected in the Project Management Review (PMR) Performance Summary scorecard.

* Strong leadership skills; someone who commands respect and is sought out to work issues and solve problems.

* Must be highly experienced and skilled in Engineering domain.

* Must have knowledge and experience with MS Project and Earned Value.

* Must be able to travel on an as-required basis.

* Must be a good communicator from executive level to technical level.

* Strong relationship builder with outside customer/supplier contacts on project matters.

* A process oriented person that understands governance.

* Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Mgmt Institute. (preferred)

* Prefer experience in PDM application tools, e.g. Teamcenter Manufacturing, CATIA V5.0.

* Prefer experience in Manufacturing Engineering and Bill of Material Reconciliation.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have experience in PDM application tools, e.g. Teamcenter, CATIA, Windchill, ENOVIA.

Must be highly experienced and skilled in Engineering domain.

Must have a Bachelor's Degree
