PICG Associate Huron Consulting Group is an independent provider of financial and operational consulting services. We focus on bridging broad “C-level” business initiatives with the deep topical expertise necessary to reposition clients for growth across a variety of industries, including Consumer Products, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceuticals.PICG works with businesses confronting performance challenges associated with leadership change, merger integration, aggressive competition, deteriorating industry economics and customer/market pressures. Our consultants objectively apply deep analytical rigor while utilizing a range of frameworks, benchmarks and tools tailored to the specific client situation. Engagements focus on business alignment, revenue enhancement, supply chain efficiency, SG&A improvement, and organizational alignment.PICG is a very lean and entrepreneurial group and every member of PICG staff has a vested interest in developing the practice. In addition to delivering superior client results, all personnel have incentives to lead internal initiatives. As an Associate, you will have exposure to the business side of consulting from your first day. Your career path in PICG is not pre-defined - it is dictated by your performance, not by your tenure.Responsibilities: Associates are assigned full-time on a single engagement, which typically lasts 2 to 4 months. Associates are expected to assimilate rapidly and take an immediate leadership role in:
Structuring work plans;
Managing analysts;
Identifying critical client issues;
Developing and conducting analysis;
Presenting findings;
Expanding client relationships.Exposure to senior management, within Huron internally and with the clients we serve is common and expected. Our experienced professionals work collaboratively with management to understand the key sources of underperformance, evaluate alternative courses of action, create a detailed plan of improvement, and help management execute plans to achieve measurable results.Job Requirements
Undergraduate degree required—MBA from top tier school preferred;
4-10 years professional experience, preferably with 2-3 years experience in professional services demonstrating promotions and other achievements;
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with financial modeling and strategic analysis;
Deep experience solving complex problems independently and as part of a team;
Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills. Capable of establishing rapport with Senior and Executive Management while working on client teams;
Proven leadership skills - capable of taking a leadership positions and skilled at motivating, managing, mentoring and training others;
Excellent oral and written communication skills.This position requires significant travel. We prefer our consultants to be based out of Chicago or New York, but will consider other locations.Please apply through our website at
