Payroll Manager

Our Client, a Leader in Consumer Product Merchandising seeks a Payroll Manager ( ADP )with the following responsibilities: - Manage payroll vendor relationship to include monthly review of vendor performance.
- Review and manage timely payroll tax payments to federal, state, and local tax jurisdictions through the company’s third party vendor.
- Review of tax notices received from taxing authorities and interface with payroll vendor to ensure timely and accurate response.
- Create payroll audit reports to validate the accuracy and timeliness of each payroll processing.
- Coordinate with ADP, HR, Tax and Finance on payroll related issues and must have the ability to interact professionally with various levels of employees and management.
- Maintain integrity of data between Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and ADP system.
- Review accuracy of all payroll funding requests before to authorize funding to third party vendors.
- Prepare reports to analyze earnings, taxes, and deductions to balance payroll entries to business unit general ledgers.
- Perform critical year end reviews and processes to include production of W2s and year end tax reconciliations by taxing authority.
- Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are followed to maintain an effective control environment. - Requires flexibility in scheduling to process payroll and to be on call as necessary to assist in resolving problems.Qualifications:Solid knowledge of payroll practices and procedures
Minimum of 3 + years prior payroll processing required
5 years management experienceProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
