Investment company located in Los Angeles, California is seeking a Portfolio Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic team.

PORTFOLIO IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST


The Portfolio Implementation Specialist coordinates the execution of strategy and portfolio changes between Investment Managers, Portfolio Managers and Trading using Advent Software's Moxy program. Also responsible for supporting the team by tracking all relevant client liquidity needs and investment allocations and ensuring all assigned tasks are accomplished efficiently and in a timely fashion. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Execute investment decisions by investment management for various client accounts
•Utilize Moxy software to quickly develop trade allocations for the Core strategy (250+ accounts) and the Select strategy (150+ accounts)
•Invest new/additional money for clients
•Coordinate with relationship managers, investment managers and traders to insure asset allocation is properly implemented
•Systematically rebalance portfolios according to investment management models
•Continuously keep up-to-date firm's investment policy and intricacies of certain investments, e.g., fees, T+1 settlement dates, etc.
•Perform tax analyses for clients desiring to change their investment strategy
•Monitor customer accounts and update with current information, e.g., tactical weights, securities restrictions
•Support RM/Client Services with coordination of customer distribution requests
•Work closely with Portfolio Administration department to ensure new/existing information is up-to-date
•Act as liaison between equity department and operations/compliance department
•Provide monthly data to Advisory Team regarding number of relationships/assets
REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
•Knowledge of/familiarity with financial markets and instruments
•Strong technical skills using Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
•Advent Software (Moxy/Axys) or similar portfolio database software experience required
•Series 7 preferred, but not required

•Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and navigate organizational structures with sensitivity and finesse
•Comfortable working without a lot of direction
•Strong interest in the financial markets with working knowledge of the investment world
• Must be a highly motivated team player
•History as self-starter with "can do" attitude
•Commitment to arriving to work with sense of urgency and desire to "hit the ground running" between 6:00 - 6:30 each day and leaving when the job is done
•High degree of personal integrity and high personal work ethics, coupled with the ability to earn and inspire respect and confidence among one's peers, subordinates and senior management
•Strong, creative problem solving and decision-making skills
•Aggressiveness in meeting commitments
