Offshore Supplier Performance Manager

Woodstream Corporation is a diversified branded consumer products company serving the retail industry with a brand portfolio that includes Victor® rodent control, Havahart® caring control equipment, Safer Brand® Organic pest control and Perky Pet® birdfeeders. We are working to grow our business through product and market innovation and by working closely with our retail partners. We have an exciting opportunity available for immediate placement in our Supplier Performance department.

Responsibilities for the Offshore Supplier Performance Manager position:

• Optimize existing supplier relationships by jointly collaborating on changes that take cost and time out of the process of responding to our demands
• Achieve thorough understanding of offshore process capacity and assure material and product supply strategies support Woodstream growth plans
• Develop existing Offshore Suppliers to meet and exceed Woodstream’s requirements for price, quality, and service
• Establish and manage Offshore Supplier Performance goals and measurements with a focus for continuous improvement in on time delivery, lead time reduction, and cost reduction. Encourage cross-functional relationships among both Supplier and Woodstream resources
REQUIREMENTS


Requirements for the Offshore Supplier Performance Manager position:

Education:
• BA or BS degree in an appropriate field.
• A technical, science, or engineering background / experience is a plus
• CPM, APICS or other Purchasing certifications are also a plus.

Experience:
• 5 – 15 years of offshore purchasing experience, preferably in the consumer products area, is required.
• History of travel and on the ground experience in Southeast Asia is required

Skills:
• Must be highly proficient with PC based application programs. Specific experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is required
• Previous user experience with AS400 based programs is also required

Behaviors:
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be a self-initiator and a self-motivator.
• Training and/or previous experience in negotiation and problem solving skills is a plus.

The Offshore Supplier Performance Manager position includes a target starting salary of $65k and a comprehensive benefits package
