Research Analyst

will be assigned several industries that he/she will mainly work on. Analyze and write reports on assigned industries and corporations from the viewpoint of credit risk management, business promotion support, and/or providing information to senior management of the Bank. Will also be expected to make presentations to customers regarding industry trends and/or strategic proposals. Cultivate support needs through contact with marketing units and/or credit departments will also be expected. NY-based group, which in turn is a part of Tokyo, a department of the Bank's headquarter. Several years of work experience at financial institutions or in corporate financial analysis. Experience regarding financial analysis, accounting and credit analysis required. MBA (and "good" schools) are preferred. Financial Engineering background is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Japanese, business level) highly preferred. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet are must. MS Access skill is preferable. Business trips (including overseas travel are required).

Responsible for credit applications and the subsequent approval process. Monitor each transaction/utilization by the customers. Handle daily execution of the transactions.
Credit and execution experience in trade and corporate finance. 3 years of relevant experience in trade finance; including experience in trade bills operation and credit analysis.
Knowledge in trade finance including structured trade, commodity finance, documentary L/C's, standby LC, etc. Spanish language skill is preferred. To monitor and analyze the credit risk of corporate customers and financial institutions. Capability of prudent control for group's activities and transaction flow is required.
