Marketing, Senior Associate Forecasting 6452

The Senior Associate will work closely with the Manager of the Planning and Analysis area of the Balance Transfer and Cash Advance Marketing team of Discover’s consumer credit card business. The Planning and Analysis group is responsible for the planning, reporting, business analysis, and budget coordination functions of the Balance Transfer and Cash Advance Marketing team. The candidate will also play a key role in the development of marketing strategies and in the analysis of new growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage the forecasting, reporting, and budgeting processes for the Balance Transfer and Cash Advance businesses, including tracking of key business metrics, monthly forecast reconciliation and variance analysis.
Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with other areas of the business to ensure the timely and accurate completion of the quarterly Forecast process.
Perform regular and ad-hoc analysis at the channel and segment levels, including the analysis of marketing strategies, tests and campaigns, and evaluate their impact on key business drivers.
Manage the maintenance and development of forecasting models and reports.
Present updates on the state of the Balance Transfer and Cash Advance businesses to Senior Management on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline.
1-3 years of experience in business planning and analysis, preferably in the financial services industry.
A sound understanding of how marketing decisions impact financial results.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to interpret trends and analyses.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
