The Business Development department is seeking a Market Systems Analyst who will be responsible for creating queries and design reports as part of the development and enhancement of the Structured Finance Business Development Strategic Data Analysis System. The candidate will analyze data in support of and the development of strategic opportunities and design and program queries and reports in MS Access. Primary responsibilities include analyzing various data in the pursuit of solutions to business development strategies; creating concise, crisp and supportive analytical results to help management in the development of strategic decisions; data integrity involving updating/importing data into SFBD Strategic Data Analysis System; and creating exception reports, reviewing exceptions monthly, and working with Structured Finance product groups to eliminate all exceptions. Responsibilities will also include analyzing Fitch’s market position across all Structured Finance bond sectors, including the monitoring of Fitch + 1 bond rating positions; supporting the evaluation of the impact of Fitch’s SF bond ratings on bond pricing (price, yield, spread) across various structured finance bond sectors; and developing a results report. Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 3 years of analytical experience utilizing MS Access, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Structured finance or bond experience a plus. Candidate must possess excellent MS Access and Excel experience (Access programming preferred); strong Word and PowerPoint experience; have strong communication and organizational skills; and the proven ability to multitask and work well with others.
